Hi, my name is Cody Glen Barnhart.
I'm currently studying at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I am pursuing a Master of Divinity as part of their Accelerate program. This program allows me to complete both my M.Div. and my B.A. in five years.
The three giants of the faith who have impacted me the most are John Flavel, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, and Carl F. H. Henry. I believe that these three men each embodied vital aspects of the Christian life—meditation on the glory of God, Christ-centered proclamation of the Word, and cultural engagement (respectively, with a lot of overlap). If you ever want recommendations on who to read next, these three men will stretch you and should be the first ones you visit.
I have had the chance to write for several blogs I frequent, including The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, Canon & Culture, and Gospel Centered Discipleship. Much of the content I post on these sites finds its way here, too. You would serve yourself well to visit those sites if you do not already, as I owe much of my thinking to the men and women who write for them, and they are more brilliant than I am.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me via Twitter, or go to the "Contact Me" page on this site. I generally stay on top of social media, but I'm learning to ignore notifications, so if you don't hear back from me in a few days, prompt me again.
